I need to change the engine and cabin air filters for my 2019 RDX. What brand of filters do you recommend?

Also, I haven't done the engine air filters before. It seems pretty easy from this youtube video: . Any gotchas that I should be aware of?

You will probably break plastic fasteners in the process, so be sure to buy replacements before attempting it

Pretty simple. I buy the ones on amazon, typically you have lots of name brand choices that are inexpensive (both together are less than $35).

1. Air cab filter is super easy, double door inside the back of the glove box.
2. Engine Air filter - simple tool - like the "RussianDude" noted, the OEM plastic push pins break easily. You really only need to remove 2-3 of them, then the rest is pretty straight forward.

Lots of good "how to videos" on Youtube to do both.

With respect to quality, of the two filters, the engine air filter is more important than the cabin air filter. So my thought would be to use the OEM for the engine, or a reputable brand like Fram, Purolator, etc. As others have mentioned you likely will break one or more of the plastic clips. They are available at the dealer (Acura or Honda) at about $4 each, or you can get a bag of a dozen off eBay for about $10. The Acura ones (2022 RDX) have a P/N of 91501-S04-003. If you are leaning toward the brand name high flow air filter used in the video & don't want to pay the premium price, you can find a surprisingly high quality foreign 'knock-off' equivalent on ebay for $22 shipped.

I just installed one of these specific for my 03 CL-S automatic factory air box, as an experiment, just the other day.
The ebay item description claims that the filter pleats don't need oil; however, since I already had K&N oil available, for the cone filter on my S/C'ed CL-S6, I lubed it up anyway.
So far, so good.

Very easy to do but like RussianDude says you're going to break a clip or two while doing it. The one I broke was not essential so I haven't put in a new clip yet - it cost $5CAD though. Brand wise I just use Fram - easy to find in my neck of the woods but any major brand is fine.

I bought a box of various plastic clips at Harbor Freight, or they are also available on Amazon. I haven't used them yet. They may or may not exactly match the factory clips, but I expect some to fit okay.

I will either use the Purolator A31440 from Amazon, or order the factory filter from acura.oempartsonline.com for ~$25 plus shipping, along with other parts.

I just replaced the cabin filter, at 2 yrs and 23k miles, and it absolutely did not need doing. That will vary a lot depending on whether you park the car outside (leaves, pollen, dust). Since it is so easy, you may want to just take 5-10 minutes and inspect the cabin air filter. The factory filter does have more pleats (good thing) than most aftermarket ones.

Ha... Just as I was in the midst of changing out my own filters this thread popped up. I broke a clip too - it was one of the ones for the air intake. Referred to an older thread here: Broken clip - AcuraZine - Acura Enthusiast Community and the parts guy at the dealership independently brought up the same diagram showing the clips. Part number is 91512-5K7-003. They snap in great! Removal isn't as much fun.

As for my filters - it's only been about a year but my cabin air filter really really needed replacing. Dusty around here I guess. Engine air filter didn't need it as badly but it's done and I have a couple spare clips for next time!

It should be OK. The actual Honda/Acura part measures flange diameter 20 mm, for a 5/16 inch or 8 mm hole and a stem length of 10 mm. Your Amazon link didn't work but some searching seems to indicate that the 91512-SX0-003 has a stem length of 11 mm. The link I used is
